Unico - Zephyrus the West Wind

This is Zephyrus the West Wind, or as called in Japanese at times, Nishikaze. She's the one given the task to place Unico on the Hill of Oblivion, but chooses to protect him from the wrath of the goddess Venus by escaping through different lands and time periods with Unico.

Since people like taking and using my Unico fanart graphics from my website so much...and not ask to use it...I thought I'd post the ones I really like here in my account. *sighs* I cant' really complain...I dont' own Unico, and many of these images are based off original Unico art. Oh well, huh?

I thought, since the West Wind was so prominent in the series...what about the other winds? Since the West Wind was made female despite the Ancient Greek tradition of the winds being male. And since the winds are usually brothers, I decided to make other three winds the West Wind's sisters. I assume that makes the Night Wind their cousin, and one of the several daughters of Selene and Endymion. *laughs*

Interestingly, the West Wind is one of Tezuka's reoccurring characters in his other manga. West Wind's original appearance was as either "Zefilth" or "Milda" (it's not clear from my sources) in the 1968 manga series "Swallowing the Earth." I found that out from Tezuka's official website, here: [link] On an interesting note, she was one of seven sisters who scammed men of their money...so if the Unico manga had continued, and their other winds revealed, could they have been a few of the West Wind's sisters from the "Saving the Earth" series?
